Like here and there

Yesterday when I walked from a train station and up the street I walked passed two street dwellers arguing over who knows what, though judging from their appearance I would say there was a high probability they were arguing over drugs.

As the argument ensued, thus did their voices escalate and even though I couldn't understand what they were yelling, I don't think I needed to. Even the intonations and pitches were the same as similar arguments I have had the misfortune of overhearing in the past.

As the two separated and of course continued to holler abuse at each other at long distance I really did feel a strange sense of familiarity.
