Swedes work hard but it should be recognised that they also play hard. Whether it's an intimate setting of a few people and some food or a party in a pub - Swedes always put on a good party. Fortunately I've had the pleasure of experiencing both ends of the spectrum and I can say without a doubt that Swedes have fine tuned the art of hosting a gathering - the main ingredients? Good food and music of course; my two life savers.
Last Friday night I attended a surprise 40th birthday party which was held downstairs in a pub and as if the killer music blasting the speakers wasn't enough, why not have a Swedish heavy metal band (including a Blue Oyster Cult cover!) play live as well?
